About The Position
Pierpan Family Dentistry, a modern, family-oriented practice in Hampstead, NC, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist. The practice is located in fast-growing Hampstead, just minutes from the Intracoastal Waterway, Topsail Island, and Wrightsville Beach. This part-time role requires working one day per week, specifically on Fridays from 7:30 am to 5 pm with a one-hour lunch break. The ideal candidate is a dedicated professional who values patient-centered care, enjoys building relationships, and takes pride in promoting oral health in a friendly, welcoming environment. Requirements
- Current Dental Hygienist license in the state of North Carolina
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality care
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing procedures
- Conduct oral health assessments, including periodontal charting and screenings
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventative care
- Assist the dentist with exams and treatment planning
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Ensure compliance with infection control and sterilization protocols
- Create a positive and comfortable experience for patients
