About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to provide high-quality preventive dental care and oral health education to patients of all ages. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, safety, and clinical excellence in a fast-paced dental environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited Dental Hygiene program required
- Active New York State Dental Hygienist license required
- CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required based on facility policy)
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical dental hygiene experience preferred
- Proficiency in dental cleaning techniques, scaling, and radiography
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems preferred
- Knowledge of infection control standards and dental safety protocols
Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and root planing
- Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Assist dentists during oral examinations and procedures
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care practices
- Review and verify patient medical and dental histories
- Ensure patient comfort and maintain a positive experience
- Adhere to infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in EMR systems
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment areas
- Collaborate effectively with dental and administrative staff
- Support basic administrative tasks, including documentation and data entry as needed
