About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Dental Hygienist to provide high-quality preventive dental care and oral health education. This role involves working closely with patients and dental professionals to ensure a safe, efficient, and comfortable clinical experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of an accredited Dental Hygiene program required
• Active New York State Dental Hygienist license required

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical dental hygiene experience preferred
• Proficiency in dental cleaning techniques, scaling, and radiography
• CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems preferred
• Solid understanding of infection control and dental safety standards

Responsibilities

• Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and root planing
• Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays)
• Assist dentists during oral examinations and procedures
• Review and verify patient medical and dental histories
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in EMR systems
• Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment
• Follow all infection control, safety, and compliance protocols
• Deliver excellent patient care and customer service
• Support basic administrative tasks, including documentation and data entry
