About The Position
Haas Dental Nashua is seeking a motivated and personable Pediatric Hygienist to join our dynamic team and make a meaningful difference in the patient experience. As a Pediatric Dental Hygienist, you will provide preventive dental care and oral health education to infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special healthcare needs. This role focuses on creating a positive, comfortable experience while promoting good oral hygiene habits and supporting overall oral health.
Requirements
- Current Dental Hygiene license
Nice To Haves
- Certification in local anesthesia and/or nitrous oxide administration is a plus!
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered car
Responsibilities
- Perform prophylaxis treatments, fluoride applications, sealants, and periodontal assessments as appropriate
- Obtain and review patient medical and dental histories
- Take and process dental x-rays in accordance with established guidelines
- Educate patients and parents on proper oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and preventive care practices
- Assist in identifying an documenting oral health conditions and communicate findings to the dentist
- Provide age-appropriate behavior guidance and help ensure a positive patient experience
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
- Follow infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols
- Support the dental team in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting a welcoming environment
