About The Position

Nite Lines USA, established in 1994, is a healthcare organization providing contract support services to government institutions and medical treatment facilities. We are seeking dedicated Dental Hygienists to provide dental hygiene duties and clinical support for the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Institution in Bastrop, TX. This role involves direct patient care, oral hygiene education, and administrative tasks related to patient scheduling and record-keeping.

Requirements

Dental Hygienist license from the State of Texas and/or board certification.
Dental radiology certification required.
Knowledge and experience in maintaining medical records and confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of three years of experience is preferred.
Anesthesia certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide dental prophylaxis, other preventive oral health services, and other periodontal services on inmates.
Provide thorough individualized oral hygiene instructions for each patient.
Monitor oral hygiene and periodontal condition on each patient seen for dental prophylaxis.
Complete necessary dental x-rays as specified by the dentist.
Provides oral health care services such as suture removal, administration of local anesthetic, and other services (if trained).
Sterilize instruments used for prophylaxis and other instruments as specified by the dental staff.
Oversee health services’ housekeeping and infection control procedures.
Perform necessary paperwork related to scheduling patients for dental prophylaxis as directed by the dental staff.
Track scheduling of patient care.
Ability to collect and track data and enter data into the agency’s electronic system.
Maintain medical records and confidentiality.
Perform any other reasonable tasks needed by the health services unit, or assigned by supervisory staff, that are related to health services.
