About The Position
South Plains Rural Health Services is hiring a Dental Hygienist for our Lamesa clinic. This role focuses on preventive care and patient education in a supportive community-health setting.
Requirements
- High School graduation and completion of an approved dental hygiene training program
- License to practice dental hygiene by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners
- Compliance with the annual influenza vaccination policy (provide proof of vaccination or submit a medical/religious exemption form and wear a face mask during flu season)
Responsibilities
- Provide cleanings, periodontal maintenance, and preventive treatments
- Take digital X-rays and apply fluoride/sealants
- Educate patients on daily oral hygiene
- Assist the dentist during visits
- Maintain charts and prepare treatment areas
