About The Position

Greater Seacoast Health is looking for a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our Dental Team, working collaboratively between our Somersworth and Portsmouth health centers. You'll provide high-quality preventive dental care to patients throughout our community while being part of an integrated healthcare organization focused on making care accessible to everyone. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program
  • Current license to practice Dental Hygiene in the State of New Hampshire
  • Current CPR certification

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive dental hygiene and preventive services
  • Perform dental cleanings, scaling, sealant applications, fluoride treatments, and other services within your scope of practice
  • Assess oral and periodontal health and identify individual patient needs
  • Provide personalized oral-health education and counseling
  • Help patients understand the connection between oral health and their overall health
  • Document assessments, treatment, and patient interactions accurately in the dental record
  • Work closely with dentists and other members of the Dental Team to coordinate patient care
  • Collaborate with professionals across our medical and behavioral health teams when appropriate
  • Maintain safe, clean clinical areas in accordance with OSHA standards and organizational policies
  • Follow infection-control and proper disposal procedures
  • Respond professionally and compassionately to patient questions and concerns
  • Maintain required professional licensure and certifications
