Dental Hygienist | National Dental Williston Park | Long Island West, NY
About The Position
National Dental Williston Park is seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join its established Long Island general dentistry practice. The hygienist will support preventive care, patient education, and lasting patient relationships in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, working alongside dental providers to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care. The practice serves PPO and Medicaid patients. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Compensation is $60–$65 per hour, based on experience. The listed practice address is 400 S Oyster Bay Rd #201, Hicksville, NY 11801.
Requirements
- Active New York Dental Hygiene License.
- Local Anesthesia Certification, if applicable by state.
- Current CPR/BLS Certification.
- Strong communication and patient education skills.
- Commitment to quality patient care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Nice To Haves
- Laser Certification.
- Experience with assisted hygiene models.
- Experience in PPO, Fee-for-Service, and/or Medicaid environments.
- Experience with periodontal therapy.
- Experience with patient education and treatment acceptance.
- Bilingual skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform dental prophylaxis and periodontal maintenance.
- Conduct periodontal charting and assessments.
- Take diagnostic radiographs.
- Provide patient education and oral hygiene instruction.
- Identify and communicate treatment needs to patients and providers.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with dentists and team members to support comprehensive patient care.
- Promote preventive dentistry and long-term oral health.
