About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist with experience in sedation dentistry and caring for patients with dental anxiety and fear. This role is for Fridays and offers consistent scheduling with 1-hour+ appointments, allowing ample time for each patient. Our practice utilizes state-of-the-art technology and provides a supportive team environment. The ideal candidate will be patient-focused and dedicated to making a difference for fearful or anxious patients.

Requirements

• Current NYS Registered Dental Hygienist License
• Strong clinical hygiene skills
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Gentle, compassionate chairside manner
• Ability to connect with and reassure anxious patients
• Dependable, professional, and team-oriented

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive preventive dental hygiene care
• Perform oral cancer screenings, X-rays, periodontal charting, scaling/root planing, and fluoride treatments
• Educate patients on oral and periodontal health
• Build trust and create a calm, comfortable experience for anxious patients
• Maintain accurate clinical records and follow infection-control protocols
• Collaborate with the dentist and dental team
