Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher from an ADA-accredited dental hygiene program (required)
  • Active NY State Dental Hygienist license and CPR certification (required)
  • Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset
  • Team-oriented attitude with a focus on quality care

Nice To Haves

  • 1–2+ years of experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome
  • Local anesthesia certification (a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive hygiene care including cleanings, scaling, root planing, and fluoride treatments
  • Educate patients on oral health, prevention, and long-term care strategies
  • Capture and interpret digital x-rays
  • Identify periodontal and restorative needs and collaborate with the dentist
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure OSHA/HIPAA compliance
  • Create a comfortable, positive experience for every patient
  • Support a smooth, efficient daily schedule and patient flow
