About The Position

Visiting Ancillary Services was founded in April 2010, as a 501(c)3 Non- Profit Charity. We provide full-service programs to over 130+ facilities. We deliver the finest outreach programs to residents, and we believe each resident should leave us with a smile and a happy demeanor. A benefit of working for a non-profit, other than giving back to your community, if you have federal student loan debt, you may be eligible for loan forgiveness, cancellation, and/or consolidation under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF). A $1000 sign-on bonus is being offered.

Requirements

Valid Colorado Dental Hygienist License.
Proven experience as Dental Hygienist.
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA).
Outstanding communication skills.
Travels to facilities daily.

Responsibilities

Ensures residents feel as comfortable as possible before their examination.
Sterilizes dental instruments properly.
Conducts initial mouth screenings and checks oral health history.
Identifies conditions like gingivitis, cavities, or periodontitis.
Cleans and helps protect residents' teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride).
Educates residents of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques).
Give instructions to residents after operations or other dental procedures.
Assists dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer).
Maintains documentation and charts on each resident.
