Requirements

  • Completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree
  • Registered and in good standing with the CDHO
  • Valid malpractice/liability insurance (CDHA or ODHA)
  • IPAC certification
  • Communicates clearly, confidently, and professionally with patients
  • Is highly organized and comfortable managing a busy schedule
  • Brings a calm, patient-first approach to every interaction
  • Works well both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Is comfortable with dental software and digital workflows

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with iTero scanning and whitening services (e.g., Zoom)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a full range of hygiene services including scaling, root planing, polishing, and fluoride application
  • Assess patients and develop personalized care approaches aligned with clinical protocols
  • Educate patients on oral health, prevention, and long-term care strategies
  • Create a comfortable and positive experience for every patient—focused on trust and attention to detail
  • Build strong patient relationships through clear communication and genuine care
  • Work closely with the clinical team to support seamless, high-quality patient care
