HYGIÉNISTE DENTAIRE-DENTAL HYGIENIST
About The Position
Person who, based on established general programs, develops specific dental hygiene education and prevention programs. She collaborates on various screening programs. She can assist the dentist in the exercise of his or her duties. She applies and teaches dental prevention and care, dental hygiene techniques. She sees to the topical application of anticariogenic agents. She cleans, scales and polishes the teeth, performs the preliminary oral examination and takes the history. She places, sculpts and finishes the restorations and takes the impressions as study models. She maintains the inventory and orders dental supplies.
Requirements
- Must hold a college diploma (DEC) in dental hygiene techniques from a school recognized by the competent ministry.
- Must be a member of the Professional Order of Dental Hygienists of Quebec.
