About The Position

The Dental Hygienist is a member of the Dental team that includes the Dental Site Administrator, Dentist, Dental Hygienists, Dental Assistants and Front Office. They support the mission and values of Maple City Health Care Center (MCHCC) by providing quality care in a team environment. Maple City Health Care Center (MCHCC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center dedicated to improving our community’s health by making quality comprehensive healthcare accessible to all. Requirements

• Bilingual: Spanish/English strongly preferred
• Commitment to work collaboratively within the organization
• Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills
• Indiana Dental Hygienist Licensure
• 2,000 documented hours working under the supervision of a dentist
• We are required by federal law to verify identity and eligibility to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

• One to three years of previous experience as a dental hygienist preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs patient screening procedures
• Educates patients and caregivers
• Performs age-appropriate prophylactic treatments
• Performs periodontal treatments
• Exposes and interprets dental x-rays
• Documents dental and periodontal charting
• Maintains supplies, equipment and inventory
• Other duties that support our shared work, as assigned
• Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills
