About The Position

Mayflower Dental Group has been serving the Cape Breton area for years. Our offices are in accessible locations and are a dedicated patient-based clinic. We pride ourselves on providing optimal patient care to our patients and their families in a friendly and caring environment. With our 7 clinic locations in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality – we are able to provide a solid internal patient referral program, dental hygiene program, excellent support system for expanding your skill set and the opportunity to learn among a very talented group of Dental Professionals. We use the most up to date equipment and technologies within our group of clinics. Our laboratory is located in our Mayflower Dental location in the Mayflower Mall, Sydney, NS and serves all seven of our locations needs. Requirements

Completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree is required
Current registration as a Dental Hygienist in good standing with the provincial regulatory body is required
Valid CPR certification is required
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

Appropriately assess, plan, implement and evaluate services for patient care
Perform all aspects of clinical preventative hygiene services including scaling, root planning, polishing, topical fluoride, pit and fissure sealants and whitening to patients
Serve as an oral health educator by introducing new preventative techniques and counselling
Establish and retain patient loyalty by delivering a tailored experience based on the patients’ expectations, while consistently maintaining ethical and professional behaviour
