Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher from an ADA-accredited dental hygiene program
  • Active Connecticut Dental Hygienist license and CPR certification
  • Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Local anesthesia certification preferred
  • Experience in a dental office setting preferred, but new graduates are welcome

Responsibilities

  • Deliver preventive and therapeutic hygiene services, including cleanings, scaling, root planing, and fluoride application
  • Take and interpret digital radiographs
  • Conduct oral health assessments and periodontal charting
  • Educate and motivate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care practices
  • Collaborate with general dentists and specialists to ensure seamless, comprehensive patient care
  • Maintain accurate patient records and uphold OSHA/HIPAA compliance
