Pediatric Dentistry of CenLA is looking to hire a Dental Hygienist who is excited about a fun and rewarding career in the Pediatric Dental field. Our pediatric dental office is searching for a Dental Hygienist who loves working with kids and wants to be part of a positive, well-organized team. Requirements

Graduated from an accredited dental hygiene program.
Current state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH).
A great communicator who wants to make a difference in our patients’ care.
Someone who thrives in a busy environment and is a team player.
Eagerness to learn and provide extraordinary care to our patients.
Energetic, patient, and passionate about working with children.

Previous Pediatric experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

Perform dental cleanings and preventative hygiene procedures for pediatric patients.
Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants.
Take, expose, and develop digital radiographs (bitewings, panoramic).
Provide oral hygiene and diet education to patients and parents.
Conduct patient assessments and charting.
Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures as needed.
Review schedules to ensure appointments are scheduled appropriately.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Set up and tear down hygiene operatories.
Clean and sterilize instruments.
Restock supplies in rooms and sterilization areas.
Maintain infection control and OSHA guidelines.
Participate in marketing endeavors and community outreach activities.
