About The Position

We are looking for an enthusiastic dental hygienist who enjoys building and maintaining positive relationships with patients. Dental hygienists provide preventive dental procedures and educate patients on oral hygiene, helping them achieve and maintain good oral health. The role includes routine cleanings, patient education on appropriate oral hygiene techniques, and counseling about nutrition and its impact on oral health.

The dental hygienist partners with the dentist or dentists in the office to provide patient care and works with front-office staff to schedule appointments and support a recall program. The organization provides hygiene coaching and mentorship, clinical and operations leadership, and corporate support across functions such as billing, marketing, call center, procurement, IT, facilities, human resources, and legal. Requirements

• A degree or certificate in dental hygiene from an accredited program.
• A valid state license.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Ability to manage time efficiently.
• Excellent verbal communication skills for communicating professionally with patients and staff.

• Ability to travel between locations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide oral hygiene services, including prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, polishing restorations, and applying preventive agents such as fluoride and sealants.
• Review and accurately chart patient dental history, updating it as necessary; document periodontal health and treatment provided; and securely handle patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide assistance as directed by the dentist.
• Administer local anesthetics when allowed by the applicable dental practice act.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and counsel them on nutrition and its impact on oral health.
• Work with front-office staff to schedule appointments and with dentists and support staff to build a recall program.
