Requirements
- Education: Associate degree or higher from an ADA-accredited dental hygiene program (required)
- Licenses: Active NY state dental hygiene license and CPR certification (required)
- Experience: 2 years of dental hygiene experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
Nice To Haves
- previous dental assisting experience (a plus)
- Skills: Certification in anesthesia (a plus)
Responsibilities
- Greet and prepare patients for hygiene procedures, ensuring a welcoming experience
- Perform professional dental hygiene services, including cleanings and fluoride treatments
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive measures tailored to their needs
- Collaborate with the dentist to identify and address periodontal and restorative issues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant workspace
- Schedule follow-up appointments to ensure continuity of care
