Dental Hygienist - Part Time
About The Position
Classic Dental Care, under the clinical leadership of Dr. Aaron Kleiner, DMD, is committed to providing exceptional, personalized dental care to the Gilbert community. The practice utilizes state-of-the-art technology, including soft-tissue laser therapies, digital diagnostics, and 3D Cone Beam imaging, combined with a patient-first culture. They aim to create a supportive, balanced work environment where hygienists feel valued and empowered. The team consists of dedicated clinical and administrative professionals who value transparent communication, clinical excellence, and a positive, low-stress environment. They are seeking an energetic, patient-focused Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join their collaborative team 3 days a week.
Requirements
- Active Arizona Dental Hygienist License: Current, unencunmbered license issued by the Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners (required).
- Laser Certification: Active Arizona Dental Laser Certification (required prior to start date).
- CPR/BLS Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification for healthcare providers (required).
Nice To Haves
- Anesthesia & N2O Credentials: Arizona Local Anesthesia Certification and Nitrous Oxide Analgesia Certification (preferred).
- Demonstrated expertise in periodontal disease identification, SRP execution, soft-tissue management, and an empathetic chairside manner.
Responsibilities
- Perform adult and pediatric prophylaxis, periodontal scaling and root planing (SRP), and full-mouth debridement using gentle, thorough techniques.
- Administer soft-tissue laser periodontal therapy and laser-assisted bacteria reduction in accordance with practice protocols and Arizona state regulations.
- Conduct periodontal assessments, evaluate probing depths, review medical histories, and perform oral cancer screenings.
- Take crisp, low-radiation digital X-rays (Dexis/Dentiray) and intraoral photos to assist doctors with diagnostic planning.
- Educate patients on custom home care regimens, periodontal disease progression, and the value of recommended restorative and preventive treatments.
- Maintain immaculate operatory sanitation, instrument sterilization, and strict adherence to OSHA, CDC, and HIPAA guidelines.
