About The Position

Big Bay Dental is seeking a Dental Hygienist to join their team. This is a replacement job opening. The role involves providing comprehensive dental hygiene services, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Responsibilities include performing clinical preventative hygiene services such as scaling, root planning, polishing, topical fluoride, pit and fissure sealants, and whitening. The Dental Hygienist will also serve as an oral health educator, introducing new preventative techniques and counseling patients. A key aspect of the role is establishing and retaining patient loyalty by delivering a tailored experience while maintaining ethical and professional behavior.

Requirements

Completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree is required
Current registration as a Dental Hygienist in good standing with the provincial regulatory body is required
Valid CPR certification is required
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

Appropriately assess, plan, implement and evaluate services for patient care
Perform all aspects of clinical preventative hygiene services including scaling, root planning, polishing, topical fluoride, pit and fissure sealants and whitening to patients
Serve as an oral health educator by introducing new preventative techniques and counselling
Establish and retain patient loyalty by delivering a tailored experience based on the patients’ expectations, while consistently maintaining ethical and professional behaviour
