Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree program.
  • Current registration and good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO).
  • Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to evidence-based patient care.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first approach.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities in a busy clinical setting.
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A genuine passion for helping patients improve and maintain their oral health.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using dental practice management software; experience with LiveDDM is considered an asset.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive dental hygiene services, including periodontal assessments, scaling, root planing, polishing, fluoride treatments, and preventative care.
  • Assess patient oral health needs and develop individualized hygiene treatment plans.
  • Educate patients on oral health, preventative care strategies, and home care techniques to support long-term wellness.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships through exceptional patient communication and compassionate care.
  • Accurately document clinical findings, treatment recommendations, and patient records.
  • Collaborate closely with dentists and other team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain infection prevention and control standards in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment that supports clinical excellence and outstanding service.
