About The Position

This position will provide dental hygiene services to CVTC Dental Clinic patients. Responsibilities include demonstrating commitment to customer service standards, providing health education to improve and maintain oral health, assessing dental conditions and needs of patients through screening procedures (including medical history review, dental charting, and periodontal charting), taking and recording vital signs, assessing treatment plans and dental hygiene diagnoses, providing current methods of dental hygiene care, opening and closing the clinic, collaborating with staff to coordinate scheduling and optimize communication, informing patients of office policies, monitoring inventory, and maintaining equipment.

Requirements

• Maintain flexibility with scheduling and operations.
• Possess and maintain working knowledge of Wisconsin Medical Assistance and be able to complete Medical Assistance paperwork for billing.
• Strong clinical and patient management skills.
• Current knowledge of periodontal classifications.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage time in order to maintain a productive schedule.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team and students in an educational setting.
• Ability to adhere to all safety requirements; OSHA, Blood Borne Pathogen, and current infection control training.

• Intermediate knowledge of and skills with technology including software programs for communication, data collection, and decision making including, but not limited to, Office 365 Suite.
• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program required.
• Minimum of one year of recent clinical experience as a dental hygienist required.
• Current license to practice dental hygiene in the State of Wisconsin required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Local anesthetic certification or licensure required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Patterson Eaglesoft dental software system preferred.
• Bilingual in Hmong or Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inform patients of office policies and procedures.
• Monitor inventory control.
• Maintain equipment used to provide dental hygiene care.
