About The Position

Nite Lines USA is seeking Dental Hygienists to work at the Federal Correctional Institute in Springfield, Missouri. The role is scheduled for 30–40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. The pay is $60.00 per hour. The work location is 1900 W. Sunshine St., Springfield, MO 65807. The Dental Hygienist assesses patients’ oral health, performs cleanings, takes and develops dental radiographs, educates patients, assists with dental emergencies, maintains a clean and sterile work environment, and manages patient records. Valid state licensure or certification is required. Proven dental hygiene experience is preferred, though new graduates are welcome to apply.

Requirements

Valid state licensure or certification as a Dental Hygienist.
Proficiency in using dental technology and software.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct dental hygiene assessments, identify oral health conditions, and communicate findings to the dentist and patient.
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and root planing.
Take and develop dental radiographs for diagnostic purposes.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
Aid in the management of dental emergencies.
Maintain a clean and sterile working environment by adhering to safety and health regulations.
Update and manage patient records accurately and confidentially.
