About The Position

Community Health Centers of Burlington is seeking a full time Dental Hygienist to provide high-quality dental care to CHCB patients. CHCB’s Dental Hygienists are responsible for evaluating patient oral health, dental/medical history, dental complaints, and completing dental hygiene procedures in a public health setting. Requirements

  • Vermont State License in Dental Hygienist with Local Anesthetic Endorsement
  • Current CPR/AED Certification

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of experience desired but not required; new graduates welcome!
  • Comprehensive knowledge of principles and practices of oral hygiene and periodontal care
  • Ability to work and communicate with a large group of professionals; dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, and leadership staff
  • Knowledge of dental medical emergencies
  • Knowledge of public health, social and economic factors that impact the health and oral health of patients

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating patient oral health
  • Evaluating dental/medical history
  • Evaluating dental complaints
  • Completing dental hygiene procedures in a public health setting
  • Travel to other CHCB locations as necessary
