About The Position

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential Full Time opportunity for a Dental Hygienist at Patuxent River Naval Branch Health Clinic in Dahlgren, VA and Indian Head DTF. Aspects of the practice include: Full-time employment opportunity, Monday through Friday, Paid time off, Competitive Compensation, with an estimated annual income of $120,000 to $128,000. Requirements

Minimum of twelve (12) months of specialized full-time clinical experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist within the preceding thirty-six (36) months following graduation.
Hold a current, unrestricted license to practice as a dental dental hygienist in any one of the fifty States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Must possess a current certification in dental radiography.
The RDH must possess documented proof of advanced training and certification to administer local anesthesia, in accordance with the Local Anesthesia Administration by Dental Hygienists.

Responsibilities

Highly proficient in oral prophylaxis
Preliminary periodontal examinations (including diagnostic tests and radiographs)
Oral health education
Preparing treatment plans for plaque control
Applying topical fluorides and desensitizing agents
Planning, conducting, and evaluating preventive dental health programs
