The Dental Hygiene Operations Assistant is primarily responsible for assisting the dentists in the examination and treatment of patients, while managing dental offices. This role plays a central part in keeping the everyday operations of the Dental Hygiene Clinic running smoothly. The assistant will manage patient records, assist in screening potential patients, maintain supply inventory, and act as a facilitator for students during rotations. They will also provide support services to faculty, prepare patient referrals, and ensure the cleanliness and organization of clinic areas. Additionally, the role involves maintaining SDS sheets, evaluating and initiating requests for services and equipment maintenance, and facilitating college inventory and property removal processes. The assistant will also support the Dental Hygiene Program Director and faculty in the planning and administration of fiscal and operational activities, and assist in resolving operational problems and patient complaints. Attendance at yearly training seminars is required.
