About The Position

Are you a caring, detail-oriented dental professional looking for a full-time opportunity? Estero Bay Dental is looking for a Dental Hygiene Assistant to join our team! As a Dental Hygiene Assistant, you’ll work closely with our dental hygienists to support patient care, keep the hygiene department running smoothly, and help create a positive experience for every patient. We’re looking for someone who is dependable, personable, team-oriented, and excited to grow within a supportive dental practice. Requirements

• Previous dental assisting experience preferred, especially experience working with a hygiene team
• X-ray certification required or willingness to obtain certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
• Team-focused with a positive attitude
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced dental environment

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with dental software, especially Dentrix, is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist the dental hygienist with patient care and clinical procedures
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
• Take dental X-rays as needed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Follow all infection control and OSHA guidelines
• Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions
• Help manage the hygiene schedule and maintain an efficient workflow
• Restock and organize hygiene supplies
• Assist with presenting treatment plans when needed
• Support other clinical team members as needed to ensure smooth patient care
