About The Position
This role involves assisting dental hygienists and dentists with various procedures, preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, taking x-rays, educating patients, and performing patient assessments. The employee may perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the dental practice.
Requirements
- Dental Assistant certification or relevant experience
- DANB AZ Radiology and Coronal Polishing Certificates (please include any names used and certificate numbers)
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other healthcare professionals
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Assist the dental hygienists and dentists during dental procedures, including coronal polishing
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Take and process digital dental x-rays
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history
