About The Position

Dental Innovations is seeking a friendly, organized, and proactive Dental Front Office Receptionist to join their team on a part-time basis (2-3 days per week). As the primary point of contact for the practice, the receptionist will welcome patients, manage multi-line phone calls, schedule appointments, verify insurance eligibility, and collect co-pays. This role offers a flexible part-time schedule with convenient early-day hours (7 AM – 3 PM) in a modern, technology-driven practice. The clinic operates Monday through Thursday, providing team members with early afternoons and every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off. Dental Innovations provides comprehensive, patient-centered dentistry in a warm, state-of-the-art office.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of prior Dental Front Office / Reception experience (REQUIRED).
  • Foundational knowledge of dental terminology, insurance verification, PPO plans, and scheduling workflows.
  • Strong written/verbal communication, customer service mindset, and computer literacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask smoothly in an active practice.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with dental practice management software (e.g., Denticon, Dentrix, EagleSoft).
  • Familiarity with patient check-in workflows and digital patient forms.

Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet patients upon arrival, manage the check-in and check-out processes, and ensure a welcoming front reception area.
  • Answer incoming calls, answer patient inquiries, and deliver an exceptional, patient-first customer experience.
  • Coordinate patient scheduling to optimize clinical flow and keep doctor and hygiene columns full.
  • Schedule follow-up visits, recall appointments, and treatment plan visits.
  • Verify PPO insurance coverage and benefits prior to scheduled patient visits.
  • Calculate and collect patient co-pays, deductibles, and payments at time of service.
  • Maintain accurate digital patient charts, intake forms, and records in dental practice management software.
  • Collaborate closely with clinical assistants, hygienists, and doctors to ensure smooth daily office flow.
