Position Overview We are seeking a reliable, organized, and welcoming Dental Front Office Receptionist to serve as the heart of our practice. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in managing patient flow, scheduling, insurance verification, and billing operations. Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of prior Dental Front Office experience (REQUIRED).
  • Foundational knowledge of dental billing, insurance verification, CDT coding, and scheduling workflows.
  • Strong written/verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and customer service mindset.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a busy 7-operatory practice environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with dental practice management software (e.g., Denticon, Dentrix, EagleSoft).
  • Familiarity with major PPO insurance plans and patient financing tools (e.g., CareCredit).

Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet patients upon arrival, manage the check-in/check-out process, and maintain an organized front reception area.
  • Answer multi-line phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Manage patient scheduling to optimize clinical flow and keep daily doctor and hygiene schedules full.
  • Coordinate follow-up appointments, recall visits, and treatment plan scheduling.
  • Perform insurance eligibility verifications and pre-authorizations prior to scheduled visits.
  • Present treatment estimates, collect co-pays/patient payments at time of service, and process daily billing transactions.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and chart documentation in practice management software.
  • Collaborate closely with clinical staff (doctors, hygienists, assistants) and front office teammates to ensure a seamless patient experience.
