About The Position

Plymouth Dentistry is looking for an experienced, confident, and patient-focused Dental Front Desk / Patient Coordinator to join our team! We are seeking someone with strong dental front-office experience and a solid understanding of dental implants who can confidently guide patients from their initial consultation through treatment scheduling and follow-up. At Plymouth Dentistry, we have proudly served the Plymouth, Westland, and Canton communities for more than 35 years. We provide comprehensive family and cosmetic dentistry, including dental implants, dentures, restorative dentistry, and cosmetic treatments, with a strong focus on personalized care and an exceptional patient experience. This is more than a traditional front-desk position. The ideal candidate will understand the importance of the implant patient experience and be comfortable coordinating complex treatment, communicating financial information, and helping patients feel confident moving forward with recommended care.

Requirements

  • Previous dental front-office experience required
  • Implant experience strongly preferred/required
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and treatment planning
  • Strong understanding of dental insurance and patient financing
  • Excellent communication and phone skills
  • Confident discussing treatment and financial arrangements
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Professional, friendly, and compassionate
  • Comfortable working with patients who may have complex treatment needs
  • Strong follow-through and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to build trust and long-term relationships with patients

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and create a warm, professional first impression
  • Answer phones, respond to patient questions, and schedule appointments
  • Coordinate implant consultations, treatment appointments, and follow-ups
  • Understand and explain the general stages of implant treatment
  • Coordinate treatment between the dentist, specialists, and patients when needed
  • Present treatment plans and help patients understand their recommended care
  • Discuss treatment fees, insurance benefits, financing, and payment options
  • Assist patients in understanding their financial responsibility
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
  • Process patient payments and maintain accurate account information
  • Follow up with patients who have unscheduled or pending treatment
  • Help patients move forward with treatment by providing excellent communication and customer service
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Coordinate the daily schedule and help keep the office running efficiently
  • Work closely with the clinical team to provide a seamless patient experience
