About The Position

Overjet is the world-leader in dental AI, providing a platform for dental providers and insurers to improve oral health. The company is seeking talented individuals to join their mission. The role involves complementing Overjet's dental AI review services by providing licensed dental claims review for insurers through a nationwide network of dental consultants. As a Board-Certified Orthodontist, you will apply clinical expertise to review insurance claims for medical necessity and eligibility, process appeals, and confer with providers, utilizing Overjet's dental AI technology to support decision-making.

Requirements

• D.D.S. or D.M.D. from an accredited dental school.
• Board certification in Orthodontics.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience.
• Active, unrestricted dental license.
• Proficiency with CDT codes and dental procedures.
• Strong computer skills and comfort with remote platforms (e.g., Zoom).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Prior claims review experience strongly preferred (2+ years).

Responsibilities

• Authorize or deny predeterminations and claims by reviewing radiographs and/or other supporting documentation, in accordance with member plan benefits and with support from Overjet’s dental AI technology.
• Evaluate appeals, request additional information, make revised claim decisions and make further recommendations.
• Communicate claim review outcomes to participating Dentists and plan members.
• Participate in training and calibration sessions and provide regular feedback to improve productivity and accuracy of claims review.
