  • Qualified individuals will have a minimum of a high school diploma, a firm understanding of Medicaid plans, and Commercial Dental insurance plans.
  • Understanding and experience using Patterson Eaglesoft and Eclinical Works.
  • The Dental Billing Coordinator should have a minimum of 1 year of dental billing experience and be very familiar with CDT codes.
  • Light work, lifting up to 10 pounds.
  • Visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities.
  • Sitting for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for dental billing functions including submission and posting of payments and adjustments from patients, Medicaid and Medicare, as well as Commercial Insurance and 3rd party payers.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate posting of rendered services with proper coding.
  • Under the guidance of the CFO, the Dental Billing Coordinator will maintain standard operating procedures for all dental billing functions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely dental billing records including but not limited to dental fee schedule, treatment plans, posting of payments and adjustments, regular follow up of outstanding claims and balances.
  • Assist with EOM reports.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
