About The Position

Advanced Dental Care of Temple Terrace is seeking a Dental Assistant in Temple Terrace, Florida, to support the clinical team and provide a high level of patient care and satisfaction in a team-based environment. The Dental Assistant supports the office and professional dental staff with treatment, helping deliver excellent dental care and positive patient experiences in a modern, patient-centered practice. Prior dental assisting experience is required for consideration. The role includes clinical support, patient education and comfort, radiography and diagnostic assistance, infection-control compliance, and maintaining accurate patient records. The Dental Assistant is also expected to maintain required annual training and help the dentist manage dental and medical emergencies.

Requirements

Prior dental assisting experience.
Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program, or six months of on-the-job experience with supporting documentation.
X-ray certification.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection-control training as required by law.

Nice To Haves

Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended.

Responsibilities

Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
Welcome, comfort, and educate patients about oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
Ensure infection-control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake when needed.
Help the dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supplies, and an emergency telephone directory.
Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection-control training as required by law.
