Dental Assistant
About The Position
Mountain Shadows Dental in Firestone is hiring an experienced Dental Assistant to join its established family dental practice full-time, Monday through Friday. The practice describes its workplace as close-knit, supportive, drama-free, and welcoming, with an emphasis on teamwork, kindness, and building connections with patients. The schedule varies by day: Mondays 7:45 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; Tuesdays 8:15 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; Wednesdays 7:15 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; Thursdays 6:45 a.m.–2:30 p.m.; and Fridays 6:45 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Compensation is $20–$25 per hour, with monthly performance-based bonus opportunities.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant in general dentistry.
- Active CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain it.
- X-ray certification required.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Dental Assistant certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Thoroughly review and update patients’ health histories.
- Select and set up instruments, equipment, and supplies for each operatory as needed.
- Sterilize instruments according to OSHA regulations.
- Assist the dentist chairside with four-handed dentistry.
- Assist with ordering and stocking supplies.
