Dental Assistant - Entry Level
About The Position
Aspen Dental is hiring an entry-level Dental Assistant. No dental experience or certification is required. The role provides paid, hands-on training through a partnership with the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB), with a path toward becoming a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA). The Dental Assistant works alongside a dental team to support treatment procedures, infection control, patient charting, and office tasks while helping provide patient care in the community. Schedules vary by independently owned and operated location; part-time, full-time, and flexible scheduling may be available. Aspen Dental describes its training, benefits, and flexible scheduling as support for career development and patient care. Practices are independently owned and operated by licensed dentists and receive non-clinical business support services from Aspen Dental Management, Inc.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Obtain radiology and safety certification within the required timeframe for the state of practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Assist during a variety of treatment procedures.
- Set up and break down the operatory after treatment.
- Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
- Support patient charting for doctors.
- Perform office tasks as necessary.
- Collaborate with other members of the dental team to provide patient care.
