About The Position

The Smilist is seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Dental Assistant to support its commitment to high-quality dental care and exceptional patient experiences. The role assists doctors and hygienists with dental procedures, prepares patients and treatment areas, and helps maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment. The position is full-time in New Windsor, New York, with some Saturday availability required. The pay range is $30.00–$35.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Prior oral surgery experience is required.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, procedures, and infection control protocols.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-focused approach.
• Ability to collaborate with doctors and other team members in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude, dependability, and willingness to learn and grow professionally.

Nice To Haves

• Dentrix experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Help patients feel comfortable and confident by addressing their concerns and reinforcing trust in their doctor or hygienist.
• Prepare patients for treatment and assist doctors and hygienists during dental procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment that supports patient safety and comfort.
• Escort patients to and from the front desk and help provide a smooth patient experience.
• Prepare and organize instrument trays and treatment rooms for scheduled procedures.
• Monitor operatory supplies, maintain inventory, and assist with ordering and restocking.
• Follow infection control, sterilization, and office safety protocols.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
