About The Position
Spectrum Healthcare Resources is hiring a civilian Dental Assistant at Whiteman AFB in Knob Noster, Missouri. The position offers Monday-Friday hours and the opportunity to care for military families in a supportive, collaborative work environment. Requirements
- Meet one of the following qualification pathways: a CODA-accredited dental assistant/technician certificate or associate degree plus 12 months of experience within the preceding 36 months; certification from a military dental technician or dental assistant school plus 12 months of experience within the preceding 36 months; certification from a Red Cross Dental Assistant course plus 12 months of experience within the preceding 36 months; 36 months of experience within the preceding 60 months as a dental assistant in private practice or a military clinic; good-standing membership in the American Association of Dental Assistants with required continuing education plus 12 months of experience within the preceding 36 months; or graduation from a state-accredited dental assistant or dental technology program within the preceding 12 months.
- Training must include radiation physics, radiation biology, radiation health, safety and protection, X-ray films and radiographic film qualification, radiographic techniques, darkroom and processing techniques, and film mounting and digital radiographic processing techniques. Completion of a military dental technician or dental assistant “A” school, or transcripts documenting dental X-ray training from a Dental Assistant program, fulfills this requirement.
- Must be certified as a Dental Radiographer. Completion of a military dental technician or dental assistant “A” school, or Dental Assistant program transcripts documenting dental X-ray training, fulfills this requirement.
- Must have six months of experience as a Dental Assistant after graduation.
