About The Position

Mid America Health is hiring a full-time Dental Assistant for its portable Tennessee team, based out of the Knoxville, Tennessee area. The role provides portable dental services to local county jails and includes coverage in Southern Kentucky. Travel may extend 2.5–3 hours; a hotel stay is provided if desired. A company vehicle, gas card, and maintenance card are provided. The position pays $25 per hour, including drive time, and is scheduled Monday through Friday, with no evening or weekend hours. The role is described as a low-stress opportunity in a non-private-practice setting, serving an underserved population.

Requirements

• Current Tennessee Dental Radiology License.
• Current CPR certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Willingness to travel within a 2.5-hour radius.

• One year of Dental Assistant experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist with chairside procedures.
