About The Position

Ideal Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant to support patients and the dental team in delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care. The role assists with dental procedures, helps patients feel comfortable, and supports efficient clinical operations. The Dental Assistant also educates patients on oral hygiene, contributes to accurate diagnostics and treatment planning, and helps create a positive patient experience. Training and resources are provided to support professional growth and use of dental technology.

Requirements

Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license.
Current CPR certification.
At least 6 months to 1 year of experience as an RDA in a dental practice.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists with a wide range of dental procedures and help ensure patients are comfortable.
Take dental X-rays to support diagnoses and treatment planning.
Prepare and break down treatment rooms and operatories, keeping them clean, organized, and ready for care.
Facilitate patient flow, handoffs, and transitions throughout visits.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection-control standards.
Educate patients about oral hygiene practices and prepare them for the dentist’s examination.
Take impressions and bite registrations.
Conduct digital iTero scans.
Assist with patient charting, documentation, and treatment planning records.
Greet guests and record each guest’s medical history.
Chart existing and recommended treatments.
Collaborate with the practice team to provide quality care and support patient satisfaction.
Perform other duties as required to support the office.
Travel may be required for DeNovo offices, which are newly acquired offices.
