Dental Assistant
About The Position
Mid America Health is seeking a Dental Assistant to join its Ohio team at Trumbull Correctional Institution in Leavittsburg, Ohio. This is a full-time position scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The role provides dental care to an underserved patient population in a correctional facility and includes both administrative and routine chairside duties. Administrative work is a significant focus, and training in this area will be provided. Chairside care includes preventive, restorative, extraction, and prosthodontic services, with very limited endodontic work and no orthodontic or crown-and-bridge work required. The facility is smoke-free under ODRC policy. Compensation is competitive at $19 or more per hour, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus is available.
Requirements
- Current CPR certification for Healthcare Providers.
- Active Ohio Dental Radiographer license.
- One year of experience is strongly preferred.
- Certificate from an accredited dental assisting program is preferred.
