About The Position

Callander Bay Dental is a patient-centered practice dedicated to providing high-quality dental care in a warm and welcoming environment. We are seeking a Dental Assistant who is passionate about preventive dentistry and building strong patient relationships. In this role, you will be a key part of a collaborative and supportive team, contributing to exceptional hygiene care, patient education, and a positive practice culture. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional hygiene care, educating patients, and contributing to a positive, team-oriented practice culture.

Requirements

Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required
English language skills are required
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Nice To Haves

Previous dental assisting experience is preferred

Responsibilities

Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care
Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour
