Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Dental Assistant certificate or equivalent education/training that meets position requirements
  • Current radiography certification (if required)
  • Current CPR/BLS certification (if required)
  • Experience with Dentrix preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Team-oriented with a strong commitment to exceptional patient care

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during restorative, oral surgery, endodontic, periodontal, and general dentistry procedures
  • Prepare treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials for scheduled procedures
  • Record dental charting, treatment information, and clinical notes accurately in Dentrix
  • Clean, package, sterilize, and properly store dental instruments and equipment
  • Take high-quality intraoral and extraoral digital radiographs
  • Assist with routine prophylaxis, coronal polishing, topical fluoride applications, and pit and fissure sealants as directed
  • Perform routine dental laboratory procedures, including pouring and trimming study models and fabricating occlusal guards
  • Obtain and document patient vital signs, including blood pressure
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions
  • Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering and stocking materials
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on dental equipment
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment while following infection control standards
