About The Position
Dental Assistant (Part-Time) – $29–$31/hr | 3 Days/Week | Community Health Center CEC Health Care is seeking a compassionate and reliable Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we provide medical, dental, and behavioral health services to historically underserved members of our community. Requirements
- New York State Dental Assistant Certification
- Ability to take dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Strong patient communication and customer service skills
Nice To Haves
- 2+ years dental assistant experience
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD)
Responsibilities
- Provide chairside dental assisting during procedures
- Take and process dental X-rays in compliance with NYS regulations
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms
- Assist with dental lab procedures
- Maintain clinical supplies and dental equipment
- Support patient scheduling and appointment confirmations
- Communicate professionally with patients and caregivers
