Requirements

  • Must be a graduate from a fully accredited Dental Assisting program at time of hire or have at least 5 years of prior experience working as a dental assistant (with a minimum of 6000 hours chairside).
  • Must be certified in Dental Radiology through graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting program or through “on-the-job” training within the last year at the time of hire.
  • Must have a current CPR/BLS certificate prior to date of hire.
  • Must be computer literate and be willing to be trained on new software as needed.
  • Must be a self-motivated individual and have good interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work in a “Team” environment in limited space with shared work areas.
  • Must be able to work in a diverse minority environment.
  • Must provide evidence of a recent Infectious Pulmonary Tuberculosis (TB) test showing ONE of the following: 1) a negative Mantoux skin test 2) a negative chest x-ray or 3) a statement from a physician confirming freedom from TB.

Responsibilities

  • Play a crucial role in our dental office, working under the supervision of our skilled dentists.
  • Welcome patients, prepare them for treatment, and provide essential support during procedures by managing instruments and recording vital information.
  • Enhance patient experiences while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Maintain dental equipment, manage supplies, and document services in patient records.
