About The Position

Dental Assistants deliver “Best in Class” care to every patient, every day. The Dental Assistant assists the dentist during a variety of dental procedures. The role is suited to someone with empathy, patience, quick thinking, and a willingness to help others. Candidates may be experienced Dental Assistants or motivated to learn more about the dental industry. The position requires working at the Miramar, Sunrise, and Pembrooke Pines locations. This role also involves preparing exam rooms, sterilizing instruments, taking and processing X-rays, performing lab tasks, supporting patient scheduling and records, and providing oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions. The position is non-exempt.

Nice To Haves

Two to three years of Dental Assisting experience is preferred.
Knowledge of general mouth anatomy and dental terminology.
Understanding of crowns, fillings, extractions, root canals, and implants.

Responsibilities

Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure necessary equipment is ready for dentists.
Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs.
Take and process patient X-rays.
Perform lab tasks as instructed.
Greet patients and schedule appointments.
Advise patients on recommended oral hygiene.
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures.
Communicate oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions to patients.
Handle general administrative and other duties to maintain the dental practice.
