About The Position

As a Dental Assistant, you’ll support the clinical team in delivering high-quality dentistry and exceptional patient care. You’ll work alongside dentists, specialists, hygienists and other dental professionals, helping patients feel comfortable throughout their visits. Duties include preparing patients and treatment rooms, assisting during procedures, and educating patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Requirements

Meet all state-specific dental assistant credentialing requirements for the duties assigned in the state of employment.
Have current CPR/BLS certification or be able to obtain it before the start date.
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrate a genuine commitment to patient care.
Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
Have a positive, dependable and willing-to-learn attitude.

Nice To Haves

Previous dental assisting experience; qualified new dental assistants may also be considered depending on the practice and state requirements.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients, treatment rooms, instruments and equipment for dental procedures.
Assist dentists and specialists during examinations and dental procedures.
Take and prepare dental X-rays and other diagnostic records when permitted by state regulations and within your credentials.
Provide patients with clear, compassionate guidance on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Maintain appropriate infection control, sterilization and safety standards.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments and supplies.
Support an efficient, organized clinical environment.
Help create a welcoming, comfortable experience for every patient.
Work collaboratively with the dental team to deliver exceptional care.
