About The Position
The Dental Assistant assists the Dentist in delivering patient care, organizes dental clinic equipment and materials, coordinates operating room cases, and assists staff dentists. The role communicates with physicians, dentists, nursing staff, ancillary hospital personnel, patients, and patients’ families. The Dental Assistant also supports professional development by participating in in-services and continuing education programs.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent.
- Virginia Dental Radiation Safety certificate.
- AHA BLS-HCP certification.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist in delivery of patient care.

- Coordinate operating room cases and assist staff dentists.
