About The Position

The Community Health Centers is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to support its expanding clinics and provide accessible care in the community. This full-time position primarily supports the Riverside location. The Dental Assistant assists dentists with a range of procedures, including fillings, extractions, root canals, crowns and bridges, dentures, and implants. The position may require travel to other locations as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited dental radiology course.
• Completion of an ADA-accredited dental assisting course or five years of experience with on-the-job training.
• Current Vermont State Dental Assistant license with radiology privileges; a state license and X-ray endorsement are required.
• BLS certification.
• Comprehensive knowledge of dental assisting techniques.
• Knowledge of dental OSHA safety regulations.
• Demonstrated knowledge or experience using dental charting, scheduling, and reporting software.
• Knowledge of MS Office applications, including MS Excel.
• Knowledge of dental materials, their composition, and uses.

Responsibilities

• Travel to other locations as needed.
